THE CONNECTIVITY OF THE TOOLS
In the lifting sector, digitalization is taking on a significant weight and is making very important improvements in the whole sector. In fact, connectivity allows, especially with the data and machine status control and monitoring functions, to bring advantages for all those involved in the supply chain, from the manufacturers to the end users of the machines. An advantage not only in the short term but also as a basis for future developments and improvements thanks to the use of data.
THE USE OF DATA AS A SOURCE OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
The importance of the accessibility to information and its use, represent a system that allows you to keep the functionality, components and health of the vehicle under control. This becomes a useful tool that can guarantee and improve the reliability of the machines during their life cycle and beyond.
Thinking specifically, especially how this can limit breakages and/or problems arising thanks to this system. The conservation and use of data can represent that aspect that if used and enhanced, can be a great help during the “life” of the machine to know the actual state and also for future developments, ensuring the optimization of the choices of the new machinery. Machinery that can therefore be designed with new functions and new systems that can further increase efficiency, effectiveness and performance.
A DEEP AND PREDICTIVE KNOWLEDGE OF MACHINE’S STATE
Knowing the actual conditions of the machine is an aspect that allows you to intervene on the processes and make them effective and become an additional advantage for the manufacturer, especially for optimizing the functions and performance of the same. In fact, the manufacturer can perform an online diagnosis of the state of the machine, intervene upstream or perform any targeted intervention after identified the problem remotely, directly on site. Diagnostic can further intervene as breakage prevention, becoming so an advantage for the manufacturer in the case of component replacement. This is an important advantage as replacements usually occur after a breakdown or once the break has occurred, effectively representing a limitation towards machine downtime.
AN IMPROVEMENT FOR ALL SECTORS
The growing attention and the increase in standard to increase above all safety, have led to a substantial increase in the use of electronics. Electrification, as we have seen, is bringing and making concrete comforts and functions to make the machines more efficient and productive. An incidence that is touching many aspects, in the systems, in the complex communication lines and the control units, with the use of increasingly advanced and increasingly precise sensors. In this direction, the manufacturers began to increase the use of the software and some functions that already existed in the machines, among them the anti-overturning.
In this direction, manufacturer have started to equip the machines with important parameters and functions with advantages not only for workers but also for the environment.

- Know exactly where the load and operator are located, in order to improve manoeuvring times in particular.
- Limit the area where the machine works for a safety speech and to avoid obstacles could endanger the safety of the operators.
- Use of tools capable of levelling the machine via sensors, especially on uneven ground.
- Start/stop function that allow to improve the consumption and the duration of the battery autonomy
- The ability to move the load and lift in a defined trajectory.
AN INCREASINGLY “CONTROLLABLE” FUTURE
All these functions will therefore improve the world and comfort of the operators who work with the machines every day. A direction that will see machines increasingly connected and more intelligently monitored so ad to save time, improve work comfort while preserving costs and environmental impact.
