REMdevice launches the new DCS10 remote control!

We did it bidirectional, durable and above all in dual band.
We present you DCS10!
Directly from our R&D department, after a careful analysis of the market and the needs of our customers we have designed and developed our new product. We have added a new module to the range of REMdevice industrial remote controls.
This is an overview of the product, its features and some differences with the UTC+URC command transfer system.
The DCS10 is an industrial remote control able to transfer up to 10 commands or electrical contact between industrial equipments through radio signal when it is not possible or convenient to use cable control.
How is the system composed?
The DCS10 remote control is composed of 2 identical transceiver modular units, each one suitable to place inside the switch cabinet on DIN rail and equipped with a UHF external antenna. The system communicates through a radio digitally codified signal with single code to guarantee the safety of the commands and the STOP.
The Modules accept inputs to the transmitting section from equipment and PLC with “clean contact” and return the commands from the receiving section via the relay “dry contact”.
FROM UTC+URC TO DCS10: A STEP FORWARD IN SUBSTANCE!
At first glance, the difference between the UTC+URC and DCS10 communication system could go unnoticed.
Also with the DCS10 we are talking about modules that are similar in form but the differences lie in the concept and in the “technological core” of the product.
In fact, unlike the UTC + URC system, the DCS10 industrial radio control system is Bidirectional, that is, using a single pair of DCS10 Modules it simultaneously transfers commands or electrical contacts to both devices thus interconnected, i.e. it acts in both directions.
This is also an advantage in terms of costs. With UTC+URC, in fact, in order to perform the same function, 4 modules (2 pairs) are required, while with the DCS10 only 2 modules (1 pair) are needed. A further advantage is that with DCS10 only one “radio channel” is occupied while for the 2 pairs of UTC+URC 2 “Radio channels” are occupied.
As further confirmation of REMdevice efforts to provide solutions close to the customers and their working and use conditions, the DCS10 is available in the UHF (Dual Band 433 and 870 MHz) and 418 MHz versions. The UTC+URC system is only available in 433 MHz or 870 MHz band that you should order specifically at the beginning and the 418 MHz band is not available.
The new product therefore does not replace the UTC+URC command transfer system as the latter is to be preferred in cases where one-way signal is required.
AUTOMATION, INDUSTRIAL LIFTING AND MORE…
The DCS10 remote control has been designed for industrial lifting and mechanics/automation sectors. Fields of application where even more safety and attention are required in maneuvers for the safety of people and the entire work environment. Applications where there are often several machines where it is difficult or impossible to interconnect them by exchanging signal through classic cable.
The DCS10 is ideal on all those equipments and machines that require the transfer of on/off relay commands from one machine to another and vice versa for the control of digital commands or safety contacts.
An example is the transfer of the movement limit switches in the Master/Slave configuration of 2 overhead cranes that move simultaneously.
