THE CONNECTIVITY OF THE TOOLS

This is an important advantage as replacements usually occur after a breakdown or once the break has occurred, effectively representing a limitation towards machine downtime.

AN IMPROVEMENT FOR ALL SECTORS

The growing attention and the increase in standard to increase above all safety, have led to a substantial increase in the use of electronics. Electrification, as we have seen, is bringing and making concrete comforts and functions to make the machines more efficient and productive. A CHANGE IN FRONT OF EVERYONE’S EYES.

The advent of digital and electronics applicable to systems and processes, is redesigning the shape of many sectors. A substantial and profound change that has never happened in history and that in facts, is leading to revisit many sectors and methodologies and the creations of new professionals.

These are the sectors that will be most affected in a change that is already underway:

  • In the lifting sector, for example, the great incidence of electronics in systems is increasingly affirming and characterized by versatility and completeness, by the use of complex communication and control units, sensors, with an electronic increasingly sophisticated and advanced. Manufacturers have increasingly begun to use remote controls and parametrize with software, functions that were already present in lifting machines, including anti-overturning, levelling and stabilization of the machine. Lifting machines increasingly enriched with autonomous and/or semi-autonomous functions that will allow to increase safety of the operator, increase production efficiency and energy savings up to comfort. An evolution that as we can see, will bring a significant improvement in several aspects.
  • The use of wireless solutions is also spreading in the agroforestry sector with machines and transport systems to overcome the difficulties of construction sites heavily influenced by slopes and impervious logging routes where is often difficult installing construction sites and accessing them. To overcome this problem, the use of mini-crawlers radio-controlled capable of moving on uneven and rough terrain is growing. A combination of mechanical components that make this machine versatile and suitable for various operations even very complicated (cutting, logging complete etc.). To ensure operator safety, the radio remote control is specially designed and equipped with sensors that immediately stop the work of the machine in case that the operator loses control. Radio controls that can also be used to control machines and winches to hoist and transport trunks and plants from upstream to downstream by a rope and hook systems.
  • Construction sector is entering in a new phase, characterized by a path of reconfiguration and structural transformation with particular attention to materials and the environment. The main drivers that will drive change: the digitalization of products and processes, the automation, integration of home control devices, sustainability, and the use of the prefabricated solutions with optics to enhancement and recovery. All of this, will see a strong synergy and collaboration between the various stakeholder and the use of models to support the processes in the management of the buildings from the project phase, which will make it possible to improve the assessments significantly reducing the high cost of the error.
  • In the world of transport and logistics, digitalization is receiving great attention too, especially in the naval sector. In fact, digital maritime technologies can significantly impact the functioning of administrative, logistic and naval operations. Procedures that can improve and make the processes in the logistics chain more fluid, in supervising and controlling the supply chain, helping in the navigation and maintenance of ships for diagnostics, up to the port coordination and interface operations.
  • In the recycling sector, waste management is undergoing a change in its management systems, dictated above all by the growing attention to the environment through customer relations; partnerships and collaboration with IT companies and start-up that will further enhance product and method innovation. Among the most significant trends, the possibility of controlling waste sorting in machines via devices and mobile applications to guarantee operator safety. Particular attention will have the traceability of waste data which includes RFID technology and filling sensors to detect levels and monitor all reused and recycled materials produced, the development and adoption of digital solutions such as smart bins, smart trucks, sorting and robotics. To this, are added the analytical tools and optimization software that collect and process data for improvements and future implementations.

Sectors are changing very quickly, driven by this transitional movement that digital is making and which will involve all players in the supply chain from managers, designers, builders to end customers.
