W-MonDi (Wireless – Monitoring & Diagnosis)

The W-MonDi integrated monitoring system is possibly the most advanced instrument to fully analyze complex vibrating systems in wireless mode; it is totally free from cable power and data transfer.

W-MonDi is a wireless and self powering sustained system which allows remote monitoring and dynamics analysis of complex structures and machines, such as bridges, cables, turbines, pumps, rotors, millings or any other mechanical and civil engineering structure, in particular when the sensor positioning is too difficult, time consuming and costly.

The W-MonDi system is a project developed within the framework of the European Funds for Regional Developments (FERS) to the Valle d'Aosta Region (Italy) and with the scientific partnership of the Dynamics and Identification Research Group at Politecnico di Torino, Italy.

Based on up-to-date wireless communication, the W-MonDi system has the unique characteristic of synchronous triggering of all sensors, which is a fundamental requirement in modal analysis; it does not use the GPS signal, so that it is suitable for use in rooms and closed environments.

The acquisition system is controlled by a specific gateway, USB connected to a standard PC.

Dynamics analyses and diagnostics features are based on the most recent algorithms developed by the Dynamics and Identification Research Group for diagnosis of vibrating systems, cables and bearings.
