WVS
This is a wireless video monitoring system for the safe passage of trains during tunnel construction.

It solves problems of electrical and geomorphic disturbances inside tunnels. A monitor inside the drivers cab shows the images transmitted from the camera installed at the opposite end of the train. (See photo) The WVS also solves the problem of varying wagon composition of the train. Depending on how elaborate a system is required, it is possible to switch between different points of view: for example a mobile camera at the opposite end of the train, fixed cameras located in the back up zones, next to the cutter, at the tunnel entrance, etc.

Our video monitoring system was used during construction work to extend the Underground line in Milan, Italy to the new exhibition centre.



WTS

This is a digital telecommunications system similar to GSM mobile phones that makes telephone communication inside tunnels possible during construction.

Our system was used with great success during tunnel construction along the Florence-Bologna high speed rail link in Italy. (See photo). Widely acknowledged as being reliable and durable in the severest of working environments.

It is also possible to send text messages via the PC connected to the system’s switchboard using the CALL-ID option.

Unlike other systems available, when WTS is connected to the public network calls can be made to anywhere from inside the tunnel. In emergencies direct contact can be made to the emergency services (Fire Brigade, Ambulance, etc)
